Sushant is unfazed by the fact that Alia Bhatt has walked out of his next film directed by Dinesh Vijan!
A successful television actor, amazing dancer and a promising film star Sushant Singh Rajput is all this and more. Just as the shoot for his ambitious biopic of star cricketer and Captain Cool of Indian cricket team, M S Dhoni is rolling, he chats with a tabloid with regard to his work and love life. Read on.
Sushant is a hands-on actor, bordering on being a perfectionist. He went through rigorous training to get into the role of the cricketer. “Complete immersion is important, more so that when you’re playing a real-life living character, viewers feel you are him and not pretending to be him,” he says. Though always a cricket enthusiast, Dhoni has always been an amateur, until he signed MS Dhoni. But now, he has improved a lot. ” I’ve been playing cricket all my life, but now I can see the ball moving well and hit it for six. I’m doing the same thing I’ve been doing for 26 years but I’m doing it differently. I feel like a cricketer today,” he admits.
The believes in doing one film per year and calls actors who do otherwise, rats! The actor is also a shrewd businessman for he is soon planning to invest in a chain of start-ups. This smart actor has even compartmentalised his work life. Sushant is planning to do only choicest films that interest him and focus more on business.
Talking about his personal life, he says that he is all set to marry his long time live-in partner actress Ankita Lokhande by the end of 2016. “I was told that if I get married, I will lose my female fan following. If that happens, I will quit acting,” he asserts. “Ankita wants an elaborate wedding and it will happen at the end of next year when I am done with my current commitments. By then I’ll have a year to condition myself so that I can enjoy the wedding. I have no option,” he says, sounding delighted!
The actor will start working for Dinesh Vijan’s next after MS Dhoni and he is unfazed by the fact that his leading lady Alia Bhatt has walked out of that film. “That’s never been my concern,” is all he would like to say!
