How to do Halloween
Kudos to stylissma Sonam Kapoor for pulling off Wednesday Addams with such great confidence and a big congrats to her make-up stylist Namrata Soni for making her look terrific. Usually on Halloween, individuals in India end up looking like sloppy clowns and this is a major inspirational look for anyone who wants to dress the part and stand out for all the right reasons. The Dolce & Gabbana outfit looks tres chic and the black lips, smokey eyes and pleated tails add to the great finish. Bravo!
Print on print? Not really!
Kareena Kapoor Khan lets us down this time with this forgettable airport look. Perhaps she was in a rush to catch the flight and put the look haphazardly together. The polka dotted tunic doesn’t really well with the Louis Vuitton tote. Wish she had opted for a solid colour instead of clashing two prints. Sorry Bebo, but we expect something more grown-up from someone who’s been facing the camera for so long.
God lies in fit
Vidya Balan’s overall style has definitely gone up several notches however there’s still ample room for improvement. The festive colours look lovely on her but the tunic pleats don’t really flatter her. Wish she had got it properly fitted. Besides the dupatta wasn’t really needed.
Ditch those flip flops
Kajol has never been the one to care for style ever and this look further cements that reputation. Only she can think carrying a brown bag with a black top and opting for those ugh inducing flip flops. This image should go in chapter number one of the book titled, What not to wear at the airport!
Haute mama on the go
We can’t help but drool over Malaika Arora Khan’s Dior So Real sunnies. She accents her monochrome look with a red studded leather pouch. The white sneakers add to the great finish.
Black with brown? Seriously!
Sussanne Khan disappoints us this week too by pairing her black outfit with a brown bag. Firstly the leather vest (or is it faux leather) is a major style faux pas in Mumbai’s oppressive heat. Even if you are a completely car to carpet person, why would you even go close to a leather jacket in Mumbai, unless it’s perforated or laser cut. Besides the hair is same as usual and adds little to the look.
