Red Carpet Report Card: Deepika Padukone nails it while Kangana Ranaut has us in a tizzy

Kangana Ranaut gets it right most of the time but this look has us in a tizzy.

Simple yet striking
One can never go wrong with the classic white summer dress and if one comes with a pair of pockets – all the more likable. Deepika Padukone rocks this Shift dress and completes her look with a pair of gold heels. White and gold is a classic combo and always works. A thumbs up!

Pink Panther
While we admire Hussain Kuwajerwala’s attempt to don this flaming pink shade but this head-to-toe pastel looks a tad too much. We get it that he wore it on the sets of Indian Idol for a festive episode but it doesn’t really suit him. The jewel tone looks jarring and we wish he had offset the pink kurta with grey churidaars.

Kaali Peeli’s poster girl
Kangana Ranaut gets it right most of the time but this look has us in a tizzy. The lemon yellow top with a print looks far from grunge and doesn’t really go with the leather pants. Too mismatched and haphazardly put together, we’re afraid. Reminds us of the humble taxi.

Airport amnesia
Kajol has never been known for a refined style sense anyway and this disappointing travel look just cements that reputation further. We don’t expect stars to don Le smoking when they travel but this one’s completely normcore misinterpreted.

Jarring Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits aren’t meant for all body types and the one on Tanishaa Mukerji is far from flattering. The pick of that handbag is questionable too. Looks like she was in a rush to step out or should we just blame it on the badly shot picture?

Too old to say yo!
Looks like Farhan Akhtar felt too nostalgic about his Rock On!! days and decided to show up in this attire which is more suited to a college kid on a shoestring budget than a mature, grown-up man in his 30s, with easy access to couture. The head band and the wrist band – everything says – trying to fit in with the college frat gang. Sorry bro!
